LottoHoy Exposed — Play Spanish Lotteries Online

$

LottoHoy Review

If you’re interested in playing only Spanish lotteries, LottoHoy offers the main games there plus betting on football. This online lottery provider adds Quiniela and Quinigol for sports fans. Looking at the site, it all seems fairly straight forward with good options for people from one ticket upwards including subscriptions. They say they purchase the tickets and hold them on your behalf.

Games at LottoHoy.com

Players can play La Primitiva, BonoLoto, El Gordo (love the picture of the fat guy), the Spanish National Lottery and Spain’s EuroMillions. Interestingly, like the UK, Spain has added a raffle El Millón which is an additional number added to tickets for a guaranteed €1 million Euros. Once in a while, they also offer Rain of Millions with 25 prizes of €1 million. Single or multiple tickets can be purchased, as well as subscriptions can be taken in terms of weeks or draws. There is also a “reduced” button that offers combination tickets from 10 to 15 numbers.

LottoHoy!’s Something a Little Different

If you’re interested in betting on the Spanish league football (soccer for the North Americans), LottoHoy.com has Quiniela and Quinigol. People bet on who is going to win and/or how many goals are going to be scored. For Quiniela, pick 15 correctly to get the main prize down to 10. For Quinigol, the prize tier is 6 correct down to 2. If you’re interested in what you can win, go to ‘results’ as it’s not listed on play page. Any win €1 or less does not go into your account but is rolled into the prize pool for the next match.

LottoHoy and Taxes

All wins over the amount of €2,500 are subject to Spain’s tax of twenty percent. At this point, all the games available are Spanish based but if they add any of the US lotteries, then they would be subject to the US tax plus Spanish tax.

Who Can Play at LottoHoy.com?

Playing at LottoHoy is open to everyone “including your country”. I’m guessing that is a translation issue. The site and all information is available in both Spanish and English.

Opting Out

If you are playing here and decide to opt out any money you’ve put into your account must be spent on lottery tickets or football betting. There is no way to withdraw it. LottoHoy.com says this is for “security reasons and to comply with the money laundering regulations”. To collect your winnings, click on “Collect Rewards”. LottoHoy! says they will transfer the money to your bank account “as soon as possible” with no explanation on what that is.

Getting in Touch with LottoHoy!

LottoHoy.com is owned by a company registered in Spain. There are a snail mail and email address. There are no phone numbers or online chat – oh and an online form. The customer service is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am until 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Saturday it is open 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. I’m not sure what that means given there are no phone numbers to call. There is no information on how quickly they will answer your questions by email. I’m certain no one is actually going to write to them.

LottoHoy.com and the Bottom Line

I don’t like the fact that I can’t get my money back out. I also have problems with the “as soon as possible” on getting my winnings. The sports part of betting on games looks like fun, but I’d seriously have to read up on Spanish football before jumping into that one.

Pros:

Spanish Lotteries and Football Betting

Single Tickets on Lotteries

Cons:

Only Spanish Lotteries

Taxes on EuroMillions

Limited Customer Service

This site gets a reserved thumb’s up for its clearness though folks, it is only for Spanish lotteries and of course the football betting. I think I’ll stick with online providers that offer variety in international lotteries like US Powerball and EuroJackpot.

LottoStar24 Exposed — Who Is the Insurer?

LottoStar24 Review

Do you like the idea of betting on international lotteries versus actually purchasing tickets? I’m still a bit on the fence on this one. I was looking at LottoStar24.com and it got me thinking about the ability to be a bit more creative in how players can win does make betting more interesting. At the same time, LottoStar 24 only offers betting on three lotteries. I really had to go have a better look.

Games at LottoStar24.com

LottoStar24 offers players the opportunity to bet on three international lotteries: EuroMillions, US Powerball and Germany’s Lotto 6aus49. For EuroMillions and US Powerball it is straightforward with players either choosing their favorite ticket line or using a quick pick. There are options on playing one or more tickets, subscriptions charged weekly until cancelled. Multi-draws options range from 1 to 8 weeks, including a choice of playing weekly both games or either games. There is a minimum of €10 to bet on any lottery.

And What About Lotto 6aus49?

Germany’s Lotto 6aus49 is a little different. Pick your regular ticket lines or use quick pick and you’re betting on that game. Towards the bottom there is an auto “Play and win with additional lotteries”. This uses the numbers from 6aus49 plus the bonus to play Spiel77 and the last six numbers to play Superzahl (Super 6). It does add 7 additional profit tiers for the Spiel77 and 6 tiers for Super 6 – of course it costs more money. The weird thing is in their terms and conditions it infers that you’ll be using your chosen ticket numbers but on the order form it stays static suggesting that the number that is shown there is the ticket number for the two additional games.

Winnings at LottoStar24.com

It looks like what you win on betting is the same amount as offered by the regular published lotteries and deposited directly in your account – well mostly. If you win €500,000 or more, you’ve got to go to Malta to collect it in person. Winnings under €500,000 take 3 to 4 days to get to your bank account. Winnings can be used to lay more bets or transferred to your bank account. Ah, and if a player doesn’t submit the correct documents within twelve weeks of starting the claim, you don’t get your money.

How Do They Do It?

LottoStar24.com uses an insurance company to guarantee bets. The only thing is there is no information their site on who this is. Add to this in their terms and conditions, the actual winning sum could be “reduced” if the insurance company has to pay out to multiple winners.

Who Is LottoStar24.com?

LottoStar24 is owned by Lottostarlet Limited, a company out of Malta. It looks like they have a bunch of different sites for playing the same games the same way. There is a snail mail and email address plus phone number. They do have an auto confirm receipt when submitting a question by email but they don’t seem to get around to answering them.

LottoStar24 and the Bottom Line

Okay, I agree that the 6aus49 lottery combo is different and not something that a standard online lottery provider could offer. At the same time, there are a lot of other things that LottoStar24 does not offer that would make me look elsewhere – even if I was into betting on lotteries. There is no information on whether they take commission, who their insurer is and that how business about not getting the paper work correct within twelve weeks really put me off.

Pros:

6aus49’s Added Play

Betting versus Buying Lottery Tickets

Cons:

Who is the Insurer?

Only 3 Lotteries

Poor Customer Service

This site gets a thumb’s down partly for the simple fact that they do not answer emails. I mean seriously. It wasn’t that hard a question!

FreeLottoFest Exposed — Are Harry Dazzle’s Lotteries Really Free?

FreeLottoFest Review

Do you ever wonder why a “free” lottery posts payment methods on their home page? I did the other day when I was looking at FreeLottoFest.com. Harry Dazzle’s lottery games are supposed to be free, paid for by advertising and surveys. Click on his “Lucky Horoscopes” and you get the first indication of what you might have to pay for. A message pops up that this is only available for “Premium Subscribers”. But who is Harry Dazzle?

Games at FreeLottoFest

Harry Dazzle offers seven free lottery games on alternative days. Players choose 6 numbers from a range of 1 to 40 up to 1 to 90 numbers for each of the lotteries. The draw is held every second day at 7:00 pm CET. Players who chose to play free have to manually go in each day to pick their numbers and check their results. The games are funded through advertising and surveys, hence why they want you to go look each draw day. There is an option of paying for additional benefits which could bypass some of the advertising.

FreeLottoFest and Payment

Players can choose to pay 2 Rand a day for the “Optional Added Benefits Service”. This ensures that you automatically have your tickets daily plus you receive notification upon winning including a telephone call if you win over a certain amount. Oh, and it includes access to the Lucky Horoscope page. The only problem is, they charge this on a monthly basis of 60 Rand on the first day of the month. FreeLottoFest.com says you can opt out of this at any time, but there are no refunds.

Currency Issues

Players at FreeLottoFest pay 2 Rand (South African Currency) per day, notification by telephone happens for winnings over GBP 200, bank charges are USD $30 and winnings are mostly quoted in USD. In looking at their “Free Lotto Competition Games” there was one game that got me wondering about the currency paid in prizes as they refer in Game 5 to USD for the main prize and Rand for the $200 prize.

FreeLottoFest.com Winnings

Players can win in Game 1 $1000/$100, in Game 2 $2000/$100, Game 3 $4,000/$100, Game 4 $6,000/$100, Game 5 $8,000/$200, Game 6 $10,000/$400 and Game 7 US $5,000,000 for 6 out of 6 and 5 of 6 numbers wins $1,200. The Grand Prize is paid in 25 payments over 25 years. Other cash prizes will be paid either 30 days (according to their Terms and Conditions) or 48 hours (according to their FAQ) after verification.

Who Can Play?

Playing at FreeLottoFest.com is available for anyone who is 18 years or older and though it is not limited to, by residents of Australia, Canada, Ireland, Namibia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and United States. Surfing around the web, FreeLottoFest seems to have had a huge launch in December 2017 in South Africa which makes sense the optional benefits is charged in Rand.

Getting in Touch with FreeLottoFest

Customer service is available by snail mail and email address. They say allow 48 hours for them to respond to any email. There is also a telephone number in the UK. FreeLottoFest is owned and operated by a company registered in Cyprus though posted on their home page is Harry Dazzle.

Who’s Harry Dazzle?

There is a page describing Harry Dazzle, his amazing lottery wins, what he spent it on and why he created free lottery games. The first indication that this is simply a story and not a real person is the fact FreeLottoFest says he won a $5 billion Mega Deka Jackpot (Outer Mongolia). It’s a good bit of imagination and it’s not until you get to the bottom that there is a disclaimer that this is a fictional story.

The Bottom Line at FreeLottoFest.com

I’m not sure why they created Harry Dazzle though it did give me a chuckle. Back to reality, FreeLottoFest clearly states their free lotteries are paid for through advertising and surveys, though of course there is “Optional Added Benefits System” that does cost.

Pros:

Free Lotteries

Anyone Can Play

Reading about Harry Dazzle

Cons:

When Are Winnings Paid

Advertising

Why Harry Dazzle?

FreeLottoFest does get a reserved thumb’s up. I get a little twitchy with the concept of something based on advertising and surveys, especially associated with the word free.

Scottish Childrens Lottery Exposed — Helping Children and Winning

Scottish Childrens Lottery Review

Are you looking for a regular raffle to play, plus live in Great Britain? The Scottish Children’s Lottery is an interesting combination of winning prizes and helping several charities. 30% of each lottery ticket goes directly to one of the charities this lottery supports.

The Game at ScottishChildrensLottery.com

Players select their favorite five numbers between 1 and 49 or simply go for a quick pick. Next decisions is whether you want to play both Monday and Thursday, and then whether you want to choose to play 1 to 8 weeks. Subscriptions are also available. Keep in mind there is a £100 cap on the amount you can spend at any one time. The lottery game is available both on your computer and as an app on your smart phone. One ticket for one draw is £1.

What Can You Win

Pick all five numbers correctly and the jackpot prize is £25,000. There is a five tiered prize chart going down from 4 numbers plus bonus ball to win £2,000, to 2 numbers for a fast pick entry. If there are say 4 or more jackpot winners, it’s capped at £100,000, that amount is divided among the winners. There is also a £500,000 capped for the total amount of prizes paid out on any single draw.

Getting Your Winnings

Winning the 2 to 5 tier level, the prize is paid directly into your account or for direct debit people, it is paid into your bank account. I’m not exactly sure how they’d pay the 5 tier prize of a fast pick lottery ticket. Win the jackpot and there is further documentation that the Scottish Children’s Lottery asks for prior to paying it into your bank account. Prizes are delivered within 14 days of any request for additional documentation. Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw.

Scottish Childrens Lottery’s Instant Win

There are fourteen different instant win games with jackpots ranging from £25,000 down to £500. They have some inventive names with my personal favorite being Dragon Scrolls.

Who Can Play at the Scottish Children’s Lottery

First and for most, players must be both a resident and physically located in Great Britain to play this lottery. Players must also be 16 years or older, have an account with scottishchildrenslottery.com and buy a ticket. The terms and conditions are fairly straightforward and seem to address all the areas of how to play their game.

Who Is Scottish Children’s Lottery?

A bunch of charities got together and appointed STV ELM Limited to operate this lottery on their behalf. They have a snail mail address in Glasgow, email address and telephone number. Customer service is available Monday and Thursday 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. They are closed weekends.

Their Charities

ScottishChildrensLottery.com currently supports four charities: Chance to Succeed, Chance to Study, Chance to Flourish and Chance to Connect. Each of these supports the development of Scottish children. Every week on a rotational basis, a different charity is the beneficiary of at least 30% of ticket sales.

The Bottom Line at Scottish Children’s Lottery

If you like in and are currently residing in Great Britain, this looks like a fun way to support children’s development and get in on some lottery games or instant wins – and potentially win some money.

Pros:

Two Weekly Games

Good Ticket Price

Winning & Supporting Charities

Cons:

Only for Residents of Great Britain

Players Have to be in Great Britain

No Mega Jackpots Here

The Scottish Children’s Lottery gets a thumb’s up. You’re not going to become a millionaire playing here but it is a nice combination of the chance of winning plus supporting some good causes.

LottoRoyals Exposed — Will You Bet on Lotteries Here?

LottoRoyals Review

What does 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year mean to you? I was looking at LottoRoyals.com and noted this claim in their contact information. After taking a look at what this online lottery betting provider offered, I had a heap of questions. I tried to call and didn’t want to leave a message. I sent an email and am still waiting for the answer. Let me explain about my questions.

Games at LottoRoyals.com

At Lotto Royals, players can bet on officially published lotteries including US Powerball and Mega Millions, EuroJackpot and EuroMillions, Mega-Sena, SuperEnaLotto, 6aus49, BonoLoto, Irish Lotto, Oz Lotto, NZ and Aussie Powerball. Players have the options of playing single ticket lines or more, multiple draw with discounts (4/4%, 8/10% and 26/15%) or choosing a subscription. Oh, and as a welcome bonus, your first bet is free.

Lotto Royals Syndicates

LottoRoyals.com offers 6 syndicates including Atlantic Pack (EuroMillion, EuroJackpot, US Powerball & Mega Millions), Big USA (Powerball & Mega Millions), Euro Zone, Kiwi Ozi (Oz Powerball, NZ Powerball & Oz Lotto) Hot Latin (SuperEnaLotto, Mega-Sena & BonoLoto) and Daily Global (US Powerball & Mega Millions, EuroMillions & EuroJackpot, BonoLoto, & German Lotto). Each syndicate has 170 shares for a minimum of 4 draws. But here’s where I got confused. Looking at the ticket lines posted versus the list of actual ticket lines, the number does not compute. It didn’t seem to matter how I calculated each syndicate option, I came up with different numbers from what Lotto Royals states. What gives?

Winning and Getting Your Winnings

Remember this is a betting site and not a place where you’ll have your own tickets. LottoRoyals.com says that insure winnings but they don’t provide the name of the insurer. Winnings are credited directly to your account though in some cases on bigger wins, it might involve additional documentation to get it. There is a minimum of €50 for any withdrawal.

Want to Talk to LottoRoyals.com

LottoRoyals.com is operated by a company registered in London but licensed by Curaçao. There is a snail mail address in the UK, email address, phone number and online form. There is an answering machine on the phone number where you can leave a message though it seems operators are always busy. Okay, then suddenly it rings and rings with no answer. Lotto Royals also automatically confirms enquiries by email though not sure how long it takes to get an answer. There is also a pop up message on the site “Leave a Message” which sort of suggests they have online chat though again, there doesn’t seem to be anyone there. The only information on customer service hours is that they are available 24/7, 365 days of the year – NOT.

Terms and Conditions

Reading through the terms and conditions, there is only information on six lotteries including Loteria de Navidad. That was a little strange. They also explain a way to play Lotto 6aus49 including Spiel 77, Super 6 and Glucksspirale – which is actually not available on their site. Oh and if you do win the jackpot for MegaMillions, you’ll have to accept the annuity –not a full payout.

Who Can Play at Lotto Royals

Besides the usual being of legal age in your country (usually 18 or older), players cannot be “located” in a country where it lottery betting is illegal. Players also can’t be a resident of Afghanistan, China, Cuba, Hong Kong, Iran, Israel, Myanmar, North Korea, Singapore or Turkey. You’ve also got to register as yourself (versus for a 3rd party) and can only have one account.

The Bottom Line at LottoRoyals.com

I am still a little twitchy about the whole betting idea re lotteries. I’d feel a lot more confident if Lotto Royals posted who the insurer was who you’d get that jackpot win through. Add to this, the fact that the terms and conditions don’t actually seem to be written for this site.

Pros:

Welcome Bonus, First Play Free

Lots of Lotteries & Syndicates

Single Ticket Play Option

Cons:

Questionable Terms and Conditions

How Many Lines in each Syndicate

Only Annuity for the Jackpot in MegaMillions

LottoRoyals.com gets a thumb’s down. The bottom line for me is if you’re going to say your communication is “24 hours of the day 365 days of the year”, that means you’re available immediately.

Wshful Exposed — Will You Be Wishful for Winning?

Wshful Review

What do you think “wshful” would stand for? I’m guessing wishful re thinking about winning a lottery syndicate. Looking at Wshful.com, I think you’re going to have to wishful to actually win anything. This is an online lottery provider that deals only in syndicates and only in two lotteries. Well, theoretically, they add a third one in their referral program but that’s it. More importantly, it all comes down to the numbers and though I’m not a mathematician, these numbers are not adding up for me.

Games at Wshful.com

Wshful offers three levels of syndicates for two lotteries – EuroMillions and Mega Millions. Their Basic $5 a week buys players into 5 EuroMillions and 5 Mega Millions tickets a week. Each syndicate/draw has 88 shares. The next level is the Standard for $12 per week for 15 tickets times 2 lotteries twice a week again shared between 88 shares. We’re still looking at 15 tickets by 88 shares for each draw. The top level is Premium with $20 a week for 30 tickets per lottery for 2 weekly draws. We’re still talking only 30 tickets to 88 shares for each draw. There is no information on how they choose the actual ticket numbers.

Why Do You Play Syndicates?

The whole point of playing in a syndicate is to maximize tickets to shares. The good syndicates definitely have more tickets than shares. This one doesn’t even come close. The minimum buy in here is for 4 weeks. It seems fairly simple to opt out though you can’t officially until you finish that specific 4 week subscription.

Added Value Wshful Points

Players earn 6 wshful points when they first subscribe. Each referral that registers earns players 1 point and each that subscribes earns players 10 points. For each 10 points a player accumulates, this is good for 5 bonus lottery lines for US Powerball for 5 weeks. It looks like that is one ticket per week (even though we know Powerball is played twice a week). Get to 100 points and you get a year’s worth of bonus lottery lines.

Wshful Getting Your Winnings

If a players’ winnings are below £50,000, LotteryTech will collect the winnings and then transfer the money to your account. If the winnings are over £50,000, Cloud Canyon Ltd. collects the prizes and then shares it with all of the syndicate. Wshful.com says there are no administration charges unless the prize is less than £3.

Who Is Wshful.com?

You did note the two different companies. Wshful.com is owned by Cloud Canyon Ltd. They purchase the tickets through LotteryTech. Cloud Canyon Ltd. is registered in England and Wales with a snail mail address in London. There is also an email address and phone number. Customer service is available 9:00 am to 17:00 pm GMT Monday to Friday. Wshful.com says allow for 48 hours for any response.

Wshful and Who Can Play

Players must be 18 years or older (or the legal age to play where they reside) and can be from anywhere except the United States. One of the hilarious things is that in their terms and conditions, wshful.com says you can particularly play from Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and South Africa.

The Bottom Line at Wshful.com

Syndicates are a great way to increase a player’s odds of winning but most good syndicates have more tickets than shares. This one doesn’t come close. Players are going to be wishful thinking about winning.

Pros:

No Administration Charges on Winning

Almost Anyone Can Play

Bonus Referral Program

Cons:

Ratio of Tickets versus Shares for Syndicates

Only 2 Lotteries

Bonus Referral Program

Wshful.com gets a thumb’s down. Shop around for good syndicates and make sure you do your math. It’s a great way to play lotteries when the numbers work!

TrueGame Exposed — Blockchain Lotteries, Games and Prizes

$
0
0

TrueGame Review

Looking at TrueGame.io, don’t worry if you feel a little confused. This is an online lottery site that has their own games, plus prizes, plus scratchies, and games. All the games use blockchain technology. The two lottery games offered are their own creation, though don’t look for specific information unless you’re willing to register on their site. Click on results and the only information is about a game that finished last year. Are you wondering why I looked any further?

Lottery Games at TRUE GAME

There are two lottery games published – Crypto Millions and Blockchain Ball that advertise a one million dollar jackpot. The only way to find out the details of these games is to subscribe. There is no information on their site, including in the terms and conditions. Though the jackpot advertised using the $ sign, it looks like any winnings are calculated in ETH. It looks like their lottery games occur once a month. There was another Lotto 6/49 game but this seems to have finished in February.

Win Prizes at TrueGame.io

TRUE GAME has a win prizes area which works like a raffle. There is quite a range of prizes beginning with an iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S8, through Ninebot mini to Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale 2 to Vicorinox Camper II multi-knife, down to a Crypto Mug (not sure what that is). The odds of winning each of the prizes ranges from 750 to 1 on the higher end items down to 20 to 1 on the lower end items. It appears the draw takes place weekly though there is no information on when. Players also are responsible for paying for the delivery costs of any prize.

Other Stuff

Truegame.io also offers instant win scratch cards with prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 with published odds actually better the higher the prize. There is a demo feature though it’s pretty basic. There is also a “Games” area though this is still in the beta stage hence not available. You can click on “notify me” if you are interested in knowing when they will become active but keep in mind you are clicking subscribe. This started me thinking.

Why Are They Doing It?

This is a crowd funded site offering their TGAME tokens which you have to purchase to play their games. It looks like there are 300,000 tokens to be sole with a portion of that going to the TrueGame.io team (30%). They offer an area “play for free” which gives a player a $10 gift to play but you need to fill in a form to join in meaning they get your email address. I’m wondering if that is part of what they are doing – mining for email addresses.

Getting Your Winnings at TrueGame.io

Firstly, there is no way to get your money out that you deposit here to play. Players can only withdraw any winnings from their ETH wallet. Ah and in the FAQ, it says that withdrawal of funds to your bank account and credit cards will only be available after the 15th of February 2018. I wonder why they haven’t amended this to say this function is available. In their terms and conditions, there is a noted limit of 0.1 ETH minimum withdrawal and they say the time to process the request is less than 24 hours.

Who Can Play?

If you’re a resident of Costa Rica, Curaçao, Dutch Caribbean Islands, France, the Netherlands, United Kingdom or United States, you can’t play here. It seems open to everyone else. Players also have to be over the age of 21.

Who Is TRUEGAME?

This site is registered in Costa Rica with a snail mail and email address. There is also an online form. There are no phone numbers and no live chat. There is also no information on how quickly they will respond to any questions. There are a heap of pictures of their advisors and their team on the website but no contact details. There are LinkedIn links to most of the people.

The Bottom Line at TrueGame.io

Not a chance! There is just too much information not available here. This includes the crypto currency (they call tokens) that they are using.

Pros:

Free Games

Prizes to Win

Cons:

No Information on their Lotteries

No Way to Withdraw Deposits

Limited Contact Details

Truegame.io gets a thumb’s down. It looks like the site is a work in progress and maybe they’ll build out better information that might answer some of the basic questions players need answered to play.

Google Lotto Scam — How to Identify a Phishing Email?

$
0
0

We’re all aware that whilst most lottery games are fair and above board, there are some people who will always take a chance and try to con people out of money with very legitimate looking scams. Google has fallen foul of this in recent years, so here are all the facts you need to know about Google Lotto Scams and what you can do to spot and avoid them.

Google Lotto Scam

The most popular one of the lot may well appear in your email inbox. You’ll receive an email telling you that you’ve won the Google Lottery and within it, they’ll ask you to send over personal details.

There have been some cases reported in which scammers will even try to impersonate tax officials or people from the Customs Offices, and in their communications ask you to give extra information and pay them some cash to “release the funds”.

What you need to know is that Google does NOT run any lottery schemes. Your email address has more than likely been picked at random and you should never reply – or send any personal details to anyone offering this service.

Google suggests that if you’ve been contacted in this way, you contact them immediately, forwarding on the email and any other information.

Here’s a pictorial example of the kind of email content you might receive. It helps to look at this so you know what you’re looking out for and what to report.

UWinIt Exposed — What Can I Win at This Free Prize Site?

UWinIt Review

Do you have the time to do into a website each day and click, click, click to win. UWinIt has a good range of prizes to win ranging from $5000 cash down to $25 gift cards. Okay, you might end up with a heck of a lot of ad sponsored spam mail, but then again, the games are free and the only way to win is to play.

What Is UWinIt?

UWinIt is a free prize giveaway site with daily prizes. They have a catch phrase of “no catches” at the same time the reality is this is an advertising site. There appears to be a limit to how many entries are permitted for each of the prizes available, though I did get a bit suspicious when all the prizes remaining have 5 or 10 entries remaining. There is no information on exactly how many entries are permitted in total. The winners page doesn’t help as it also simply posts more prizes to win.

Who Can Participate?

Here’s another prize play that it’s important to read the small print. UWinIt.com says you must be a legal resident and living in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or the United States (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico) and must e 18 years or older.

What Are the Prizes Offered by UWinIt?

There are a heap of prizes to win at UWinIt.com ranging from daily to longer term. Basically, the bigger the prize the longer the contest period. Their biggest prize is US $5000 and it looks like that runs for six months. Other prizes include an IPad Mini 2, LG 49”1080p LED TV, Samsung Chromebook 2 and Amazon Gift Cards ranging from $500 down to $25. There are McDonalds, Gap and Chipotle gift cards, plus money ranging from $100 upwards. There are two $25 Amazon gift cards given daily.

Who Owns UWinIt?

It looks like UWinIt is owned by Sharestakes, LLC., a company out of Hicksville, New York. There is a snail mail address and online form. There are no phone numbers or online chat. There was an email address in the terms and conditions for cancelling membership. There was some information on other sites that it might have originally been owned by Amazon.com which sorta makes sense given the type of prizes.

What Are the Terms & Conditions?

Each of the prizes have their own terms and conditions though there are some general things that seem to apply to all. Players can submit ten entries per day (though there are a few that only allow 5). Membership can be cancelled at any time by email. Keep in mind, this site is free so there really isn’t anything to cancel except the chance to win.

How to Collect a Prize?

Each of the different prizes have their own rules though there are some general things that seem to apply. In most cases, the draws take place within ten days of closing the contest. Some of the smaller prizes take place within 1 day (Amazon $25 gift cards). Winners are notified within thirty days by email plus have thirty days to file the necessary documentation. For Canadians, there is also a skill testing question that has to be answered.

UWinIt Feedback and Complaints

Looking at complaints, things got a bit interesting. The biggest complaint seems to be for all prizes, postage is applicable. There were several complaints saying that they went all the way through an ad sponsored site and got down to winning something, paid the postage and then waited to no avail. The prize didn’t come. They contacted customer service but simply got the runaround.

Is UWinIt.com Scam or Legit?

It looks like the prizes directly related to UWinIt are pretty straightforward and there aren’t any complaints that players didn’t get their prizes. Though, it would be better if they actually posted some of the winners on their website. But, this site links into ad sponsors who are outside of UWinIt. There could be some question on whether these folks deliver.

Bottom Line at UWinIt.com

If you’ve got the time and don’t mind getting spam’ed with ads and other game opportunities, then UWinIt could be a place to win some prizes.

Pros:

Lots of Prizes

Free to Play

Daily Prizes

Cons:

What Are the Odds

Ad Sponsored Spam

Postage to be Paid

UWinIt.com gets a reserved thumb’s up. If you’ve got the time to go in regularly and play and deal with the anticipated spam email from other ad sponsors, you will have a chance to win some prizes.

LotsLotto Exposed — Will You Play Lots of Lottos?

$

LotsLotto Review

LotsLotto.com certainly has lots of options to play lotteries online from the big international jackpots of US Powerball and EuroMillions to BonoLoto and Oz Lotto. There is even a Bitcoin lottery offered. Their syndicates are particularly creative with a bunch of combinations of lotteries included. It’s time to take a closer look!

Games at Lotslotto.com

There are 16 lotteries to play with a choice of “personal” or “group” play. There is a minimum purchase each time of €5 and 5 tickets for each of the lotteries offered. Players can opt for multiple draws with discounts of 2 draws/5%, 8 draws/8% and 40 draws/15%. Looking at their group play, you can choose to play 1 draw or more with the same discounts for multiple play. There is no information on how many shares are included. Their Bitcoin Lotto is based on the official numbers from BonoLoto. The draw takes place six days a week. There are two tiers of prizes – tier 1 is 1,300 bitcoins and tier 2 is 1 bitcoin. Players have the option to take the prize in bitcoins or the cash equivalent.

LotsLotto’s Syndicates

LotsLotto certainly got creative with their syndicates. There are nine options ranging from “Olympic” for 12 weeks of 24 draws with 6,600 tickets to Paradise Journey with 21,000 tickets for 15 weeks of 210 draws. But – yes the big but – there is no information on how many shares each syndicate has.

Bonus and Extras at LotsLotto

LotsLotto offers a special discount to “our first 100 players” who “buy the most popular tickets online” each season. Okay folks, when does a season start? Who decides what the most popular tickets are? There is also a “Welcome Bonus” of a free play in a lottery pool. Same goes for the “Tell a Friend Bonus” as long as your friend plays within thirty days of joining. You also need to be aware of the fact that if you are participating in a free pool, only winnings of more than €5,000 will be divided up to the winners. Anything less than that are transferred to the company. There is no information on what the lottery is for the free play.

Getting Your Winnings

Wins under €2,500 are transferred directly to your player’s account. For wins over €2,500, players “may” have to go get their winnings personally. LotsLotto says that taxes may be applicable for over €2,500 wins. Getting your winnings out of your account, there is a minimum of €20 and can take up to 5 business days. Ah, hang on – there are actually different minimum amounts depending on your country of residence ranging up to $50 for Central America and Africa. There is no commission but there could be third party fees. Whoops, reading through the small print, Lotslotto.com will take 10% commission on any single ticket winnings over USD 10,000.

Who Can Play at LotsLotto.com?

Services at LotsLotto are not available in Israel and “interstate activity in the US of A”. Players must also be 18 years or older unless the age limit for playing where their reside is higher. There is a whole spiel in their terms and conditions on the fact it is up to you to ensure you can play legally here.

Who Is LotsLotto?

LotsLotto is operated by ZILLIAN INVEST LP, with a snail mail address in the UK. There is an email address though I’m not sure if anyone bothers to answer. There are no phone numbers. There is also a leave a message but again, no one seems to respond.

LotsLotto.com and the Bottom Line

Besides the fact I don’t like a lottery site that enforces a minimum purchase of 5 ticket lines for any draw, I’m back to the whole communication thing. I’m not going to put my personal details and money somewhere, where I can’t ask questions. Then there is the fact there is no information on the actual shares in any of their syndicates.

Pros:

Lots of International Lotteries

Interesting Syndicate Combinations

Cons:

Minimum 5 Ticket Purchase for Each Draw

No Information on Share Ratio in Syndicates

Commission on Winnings over USD 10,000

This site gets a thumb’s down. I’m still laughing at the information on their bonus system or lack thereof.

Lottoz Exposed — Looks Fairly Straightforward

Lottoz Review

Wouldn’t you be annoyed if you clicked on a subscription to get that 35% discount on your US Powerball tickets, cancelled it three months later and then got charged back that discounted amount? That was just one of the things that caught my eye in the terms and conditions for playing international lotteries online at Lottoz.com. This is an online lottery provider that offers straight ticket lines and combo packages. There are no syndicates. It does look fairly straightforward. So, what do they actually offer?

Games at Lottoz.com

Each of the different 17 lotteries offered online by Lottoz.com have a minimum purchase of two ticket lines. Five of the lotteries earn a free ticket, but there is a minimum purchase of ticket lines required for each. Buy 3 ticket lines of US Powerball and get a free ticket versus buy 5 lines of EuroMillions and then get a free ticket. The free ticket is automatically generated as a quick pick.

Lottoz.com’s Subscriptions

Lottoz also offers monthly subscriptions for all their lotteries with difference discounts ranging from 10% (El Gordo) up to 35% off (US Powerball). To opt out, simply send an email at least five business days prior to the renewal. The terms and conditions underline that is the player’s responsibility to ensure the email was received. Lottoz.com will also take back any discount that a player has gotten as a result of the subscription and charge you with the difference. There is no information on how long a player has to be involved not to get the charge back.

Combos

Lottoz.com offers some combinations if players aren’t quite sure what they want to play. These are packages of different lotteries where ranging from two lotteries and five tickets (American Combo) up to five lotteries and thirty-seven tickets (VIP 100 Combo). Tickets are chosen randomly/quick picks.

Who Can Play at Lottoz.com?

Have you noticed the phrase “interstate activity in the United States of America” in some of the terms and conditions on a few sites? Lottoz is another one of these. It looks like it refers to the fact that players are not supposed to transport lottery tickets in the United States from state to state. I’m not sure what that has to do with getting an online lottery provider to purchase a lottery ticket in the US – say for Powerball – and hold it on their behalf of the player. Lottoz.com’s services are not available in Israel though it doesn’t say Israelis can’t play here. And of course, you have to be a legal age to play wherever you are.

Money, Money, Money

Getting in Touch with Lottoz

If you have questions, there is an email address and online form. They do answer fairly quickly. There are no phone numbers. Their “live chat” appears to never be online and any message defaults to their UK address (they have some sister European play only sites) and it doesn’t appear that anyone answers. Lottoz.com is owned by a company out of Malta with a snail mail address though it looks like it is a mail drop. There are also twitter and facebook links.

The Bottom Line at Lottoz.com

Getting past the lack of ways to communicate with Lottoz, this looks like a fairly straightforward place to play international lotteries online. They do respond to emails pretty quickly though it would be nice to see someone online on their “live chat”. There is also the question of how long you have to be involved in their subscriptions prior to having to pay back your discount.

Pros:

Combos Available

No Commission

Straightforward Site

Cons:

Limited Communication Options

No Syndicates Available

Potential Subscription Charge Back

This site gets a reserved thumb’s up. It is a fairly new site so maybe they will add some additional features like syndicates in the future plus strengthen their communication options.

Top Phishing Email Scams 2018 You Should Know About

$
0
0

As technology becomes more sophisticated, so do fraudsters. Anyone who uses email on a regular basis will be aware of spam messages that try to elicit personal details, or even money from unsuspecting people who are perhaps not as well educated as they should be. Whilst some scams are easy to spot, others aren’t and it’s good to be aware of the top email phishing scams 2018 that are currently making headlines.

Examples of Email Phishing Scams

Some are definitely more easy to spot than others. Here is an example of a scam email that arrived at one of our email addresses just this week:

“Greetings

I inherited some money ($4.2 Million) from my late husband and I cannot think of anybody trying to kill me apart from my Late husband’s second wife here in Ivory coast in order to inherit the money, she is an Ivorian by nationality.

I want you to contact me back As soon as i hear from you that you are competent to execute my desire, I will instruct my lawyer and the bank management to make the immediate transfer into your account.I will give you the documents of the money and will direct you to my lawyer who will work it out legally for you, the lawyer will assist you to change the documents of the money to your name to enable the bank transfer the money to you.

This is the favor I need when you have gotten the money:-

(1) Give 20% of the money to Churches for the work of God.

(2) Give 30% of the money to handicap people and charity organization, then the remaining one is yours.

And if I don’t hear from you, I will look for another person or an organization.

Please get back to me as soon as possible May Almighty God bless you and use you ACCOMPLISH is my wish.”

This is a classic example of the kind of scam email sent out by chancers who are hoping to prey on vulnerable people. Typically, though not always, the email will come from someone who claims to be somewhere in either Africa or India.

The email address that the message is sent from will bear no resemblance to its country of origin – so it could well end in something similar to this “nike.eonet.ne.jp” which is indicative of a temporary, throw away email address, which is difficult to chase.

Often, in a message such as this, the person will ask that you send personal details such as a bank account, a contact address or telephone number and will then try to extort money.

If you receive anything like this, or remotely similar to it, the best plan of action is to report it and move it to your junk mail folder. Never engage in any conversation, or give any personal information of any description.

A More Sophisticated Phishing Scam

Some scammers are becoming more adept at fooling people. Here is an example of something which really does appear to be a genuine message, but isn’t.

IRS scam

Image from WTNH.com

You’ll receive what looks like a genuine communication from the IRS, telling you that you’re entitled to a tax rebate or refund for the current, or a previous tax year. The email will then ask you to ‘visit this link’ to apply for and get your money.

It stands to reason you should never click on, or follow through a link of this kind. The IRS, or any public financial institution won’t ever send messages like this asking people to follow links. You should never be asked via email to verify a tax refund. Any communications of this nature should be carried out via other safer methods.

A second, similar IRS scam involves scammers sending an email saying “you have a tax refund waiting at the IRS or that the IRS needs information about insurance policies”. Again, these emails should be avoided and reported. The IRS never initiates spontaneous contact with taxpayers by email to request personal or financial information.

The Fake PDF Scam

PDF attachment scam

Image from Emailscamalert.com

Here’s another example of phishing scam email and one that is becoming increasingly popular. There are now lots of infected malformed PDF attachments to emails, just as you can see in the picture above.

Scammers are altering how they deliver malware with these emails and are now attaching a genuine PDF file to an email. They are corrupt and will contain a script virus to infect your computer if you open the PDF.

Users won’t always realise that there is a problem and it can take up to two days before any ill effects show up on an infected computer.

Often times, there might not be any ill effects at all on the computer, but the victim of the phishing will suddenly find their bank or PayPal account is being compromised and they are receiving emails from outlets and businesses saying that products have been sent to either their own home address, or another alternative one specified and money debited from PayPal or Bank/Credit card.

If you receive anything like this, and you’re remotely suspicious, never ever click any links in the email, or open any PDFs. Report and move the email to your junk folder. If you have, by accident then report the email, and make sure to keep a close check on your bank accounts and PayPal too. Take the matter to the police if you know money has been stolen from you, or that your personal details have been compromised in any way.

The Slightly Altered Email Address Name Scam

Lastly, here’s a subtle one that can catch people unawares. You may receive an email message from an address you think you recognize – say you have a friend called John Doe, who has an email address which is “johndoe[at]exampleemail{dot]com”. He messages you regularly and you’re used to seeing his address pop up.

One day, you get an email from “johndos[at]exampleemail[dot]com” you’ll notice that one letter in the name is wrong, but you’ll open the mail and before you know it, it’s too late and your details have been compromised. This is one that catches many people out but again, it’s worth carefully checking any email address before you open it, and if you’re unsure, mark the message as spam and report it.

What to Do If You Think You’ve Been Hit By a Scam Email

It’s better to be safe than sorry. If you have any suspicions at all about an email message, you don’t recognize the address, or someone has contacted you out of the blue saying you are owed vast sums of money, you must always move the email to your junk folder and never click on any links within the message itself. If possible, report the message to your email provider so they can take further steps.

Unibet Exposed — The Price is Right on Betting Lotteries!

$
0
0

Unibet Review

Heading into look at Unibet.co.uk/lotto, I got lost in the overall terms and conditions that breakdown all the different games and companies involved in betting options here. This is an online provider that offers a heap of betting options including lotteries. It was a long read to find out where exactly the rules and regulations were for lotteries plus who the real operator was. Okay, so let me tell you what I found.

Games at Unibet.co.uk

Leave out the /lotto when entering the Unibet site and you’ll get the options of betting on sports, casino games, live casino, bingo, poker and yes, lotteries. They have betting on the usual US and European mega jackpots plus several keno games. There are actually 17 lotteries you can choose from. The price per line for each is pretty competitive. There is no minimum line purchase. There doesn’t appear to be any subscription option or syndicates. Unbet.co.uk/lotto also offers scratchies.

Unibet and Winning

Definitely this is one of those occasions that players need to read the small print. There is a table that outlines what Unibet will pay for each lottery. Most of it is exactly what the official lottery pays out excluding the calculation if there is more than one winner. If the official jackpot or Prize Level 2 is won, and Unibet has a winner, then the payout is calculated on a share ratio. The other thing is that they do stipulate that for Mega Millions and US Powerball, Unibet (well, actually EU Lotto Ltd.) reserve the right to pay it out as an annuity (meaning paid over 30 years) for the jackpot. The rest of the levels meet whatever is the published amount by the official lottery.

Getting Your Winnings

There is no real information in the terms and conditions for lotteries on any limits on getting your winnings but in their small print on their other betting games in general, there is a documentation requirement for anything over €2,000 (or the equivalent in another currently). Obviously, they don’t have to collect the prize for you as they are funding it – at the same time there is no information on how they do this. There is no information on whether they use an insurance company or sell fund.

Betting versus Buying Tickets – US Lotteries

I would have thought that one of the benefits of betting on the results of a lottery versus buying tickets and claiming them through the official provider would be that they can ignore tax implications. Unibet.co.uk/lotto says that they take off 38% withholding from the jackpot and Tier 2 prize on US Powerball and Mega Millions so the player gets the same amount as if they were playing with a real ticket.

Terms and Conditions

Digging into the terms and conditions for lotteries was frustrating. Go to the terms and conditions, scroll down to paragraph 18.14 and hit “click here”. A PDF file will open and finally, the actual rules and regulations for Unibet’s lottery play. These appear to be in addition to their overall terms and conditions.

And the Winner Is – Customer Service

Getting answers at Unibet.co.uk/lotto is amazing. They say their average response time is 5 minutes for live chat and telephone calls, and 45 minutes for emails. And it’s available 24/7. The person answering might not know the immediate lottery answer (they are dealing with a heap of different games) but they will find out pretty quickly.

Who Can Play at Unibet.co.uk/lotto?

Besides being legally of age to play lotteries (which they specify as 18), residents of the United States and Australia can’t play here. Oh, and you can’t work for the owners. If you’re looking to bet on any of their other games, make sure you check the small print as there are different restrictions on games depending on who is the company that is operating it. EU Lotto Ltd. is the parent company for Unibet.co.uk/lotto incorporated and licensed in Gibraltar and registered with the UK Gambling Commission.

Unibet.co.uk/lotto and the Bottom Line

Overall, it looks like the addition of betting on lotteries was a secondary focus especially with the challenge of finding the actual terms and conditions that apply. Having said that, the cost of betting on official lotteries here is very good.

Pros:

Good Price for Betting on Lotteries

17 Lotteries to Choose From Plus Keno Options

Great Customer Service

Cons:

Withholding of 38% on US Lotteries

Annuity Option Might Apply on US Lotteries

Confusing Terms and Conditions

Unibet.co.uk/lotto gets a reserved thumb’s up. If you’re interested in betting on lotteries versus actual tickets, then definitely the price is right here.

RewardIt Exposed — Free Cash Prizes!

RewardIt Review

Are you looking for a free prize site to win cash? I’m not sure if this is the place. Rewardit.com offers free games to win prizes ranging from $50 to $50,000, some cash for life and instant games. There are some daily games including a $50 prize you might have to share with someone else. You might want to put the 31st of August into your calendar as it looks like most of the games don’t close until then.

What Is RewardIt?

Rewardit.com is a place to play for cash prizes for free. There are 15 draws daily, 20 instant draws and a Pick 10 bonus game which you can play 50 times a day. All you have to do is register your email address and some personal data. The last time I did this, I ended up having my account swamped with spam emails. I think this is one of those times where the old adage ‘you don’t get anything for free’ applies. It has all the earmarks of an email data mining site.

Who Can Participate?

If you’re a “legal resident” of Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom or the United States and 18 years or older, you can play RewardIt’s games. It’s funny in their terms and conditions, they underline that if you don’t reside in one of these countries you do not have “permission to use and/or access” their games.

What Are the Prizes Offered by RewardIt?

It appears there is a daily prize of $50. Players get multiple chances each day to enter each of the games. There is a heap of games to choose from though I after reading the rules and regulations multiple times, I can’t figure out if each draw takes place daily until there is a winner or the 31st of August 2019. This includes games with prizes ranging from $100 up to $50,000. It also includes their $2,000 a week cash for life. It also says that if there is more than one winner, any prize is split.

Who Owns RewardIt?

Ah, there you have it. Rewardit.com is owned by Sharestakes, LLC – a company registered in New York State. Anyone who has been looking for free prize sites might have tripped across one of their other sites – Winloot, UWinIt and Prizeloot. Each of these offers different combinations of winning cash or other prizes. On their page, there is only an online form. In their terms and conditions, there is a snail mail address, several email addresses, and a phone number.

What Are the Terms & Conditions?

Each of the competitions has their own rules and regulations though they do seem to follow the same layout. The only difference is some list who can’t play versus who can. It looks like you can enter all the games several times a day. Opting out seems fairly straightforward by sending an email.

How to Collect a Prize?

Players are notified by email if they win within 30 days of the draw. If there is more than one winner, players share the prize. One you’ve received an email, you have to forward back an Affidavit of Eligibility, Press Release and picture within 30 days. RewardIt.com also says that when winners are notified that they have won, there may be three options on how you get your prize – Amazon Gift Card, Check or by Paypal. You get to choose.

RewardIt Feedback and Complaints

Most of the complaints are about people who said they did not get their prize and rewardit.com won’t respond to their emails.

Is RewardIt.com Scam or Legit?

There are not enough complaints to suggest this site is not legit, at the same time the similarities between this and their other sites Winloot, UWinIt, and Prizeloot made me rethinking jumping on the bandwagon. The other thing is going in each day to play more games – who has that kind of time.

Bottom Line at RewardIt.com

I’d give this one a pass. Though it’s free, it has all the look that players will end up with a heap of spam. There is also the time involved in going in each day to play.

Pros:

Lots of Prizes to Play For

Prizes are for Cash

Free

Cons:

Limited to Certain Countries

Complaints on not Getting Prizes

Spam?

RewardIt.com gets a thumbs down. It simply looks like some sort of advertising site to get your email address and possibly get you to review/look at stuff. I’m not going to touch it.

Prizeloot Exposed — Getting in on Winning Things?

$
0
0

Prizeloot Review

Are you looking for a chance to win a Kindle e-Reader or iPhone? Prizeloot.com is an online prize site that offers a variety of chances for free to win a bunch of different items or the equivalent in cash. All you have to do is provide your email address and a bit of personal info.

What Is Prizeloot?

Each of the prize opportunities at prizeloot.com offers 5 chances each day to enter. Players simply have to complete a page entry for each chance. Make sure you check out the period of the specific prize you are after as each closes at a different time. Overall, it appears the bigger the value of the prize, the longer the competition – the longest being the visa gift card which lasts 4 months.

Who Can Participate?

Check the small print as only “legal residents” of Australia, Canada, and the United States can play here. Oh excluding people in Puerto Rico (for US residents) and Quebec (for Canadian residents). You’ve got to be 18 years or older and not involved in the company or any of their affiliates or families. Reading through the small print, it looks like if your dad is working for Amazon, you can’t play for Amazon gift cards.

What Are the Prizes Offered by Prizeloot?

Don’t look for any mega jackpots here. Prizeloot.com offers prizes ranging from a $25 gift card for Amazon to $1,000 Visa gift card. There are a heap of other things to win like a MacBook, Cuisinart Coffee Maker, 50” TV, Acer Chromebook and iPhone. Most of their prizes have a cash alternative. There is no information on who pays the postage for you to get your prize.

Who Owns Prizeloot?

Does this all look familiar? Well, if you’ve been looking at playing for prizes online through free sites, this is a sister site to Winloot, UWinIt, and RewardIt. Each of them offers a different combination of prizes to win for free. They are owned by Sharestakes LLC, a company out of New York State. There are an online form, an email, and snail mail address but no phone numbers or live chat.

What Are the Terms & Conditions?

One of the things that are consistent in all the prize opportunities here is the five steps to go through to get your ‘chance to win’. After registration, complete the first entry page and then click the “Enter to Win”. This takes you to the next page… and the next page… up to five entries per day per prize chance.

How to Collect a Prize?

You’ve won and you’re wondering how long it will take to get your prize. So the ‘promotion period’ ends and Prizeloot says they will choose the winner within ten days. Then they will notify the winner within thirty days by email. Then the winner has thirty days to get back in touch and claim their prize. The winner might have to sign a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release plus provide a picture. How much does it cost to get something notarized these days? Oh, and any Canadian winner has to answer a skills test.

Prizeloot Feedback and Complaints

There doesn’t seem to be any complaints or any feedback on prizeloot.com, but then again it also looks like it is the youngest site of Sharestakes LLC. Looking at the complaints on Winloot is enough to pause for playing here. The biggest question is whether or not you’ll actually get your prize.

Is Prizeloot.com Scam or Legit?

This is yet another free prize site that wants your email address and your time to look at advertising. They are marketing product which is what pays for the prizes and their operations. If you’ve got the time to sit there and click, click, click, then you might win something.

Bottom Line at Prizeloot.com

I get that nothing is really for free but I certainly do not want to be the recipient of endless spam. In Prizeloot’s privacy statement, they say themselves that they are going to use your personal information to “provide you with a personalized experience by displaying content and delivering offers”.

Pros:

It’s Free

Cons:

Lottery Method Exposed — The Secret to Winning the Lottery or Yet Another Bluff?

Lottery Method Review

If you have any experience with lotteries, you know already that products promising to increase your odds of winning should be examined skeptically. After numerous reviews that we’ve created through the years, we’re yet to find a product that works. Would Lottery Method be it? Could this option deliver on its promises? Let’s find out.

What Is Lottery Method and What Does It Do?

Lottery Method is an ebook that applies to Pick 3 to 6 games. There are also strategies presented for the purpose of increasing your odds of winning scratch-off prizes.

According to the official ebook presentation, Lottery Method is created by an ex-lottery retailer (and supposedly, this person is to have some insider’s knowledge about how lotteries work). Ace Lee’s lottery method is advertised as so foolproof that it can potentially help you pay off your bills and quit your job (we’re not kidding – that’s precisely what the promo video says).

Ace Lee says that he has helped thousands of people win big from the lottery and that his method delivers results without a failure. In the very same video, however, a disclaimer is added. The disclaimer states that the methodology cannot be used to win mega jackpots. In addition, Ace Lee does not give any guarantees of the method working for you. Obviously, such contradictory statements made in the very same video raise a red flag. And they should!

How Much Does It Cost?

This is probably the most outrageous and maddening thing about the Lottery Method – it costs a fortune. If you buy the product from its official website, you will have to cough up 47 dollars! If you make the mistake and decide to acquire it from Amazon, the price will be 56.40 dollars.

If you have that much money to experiment with, go ahead and give it a try. However, chances are that you will be extremely disappointed. There’s no free test, there’s no money-back guarantee. In the end, you’ll be stuck with a book that potentially doesn’t work and that has made you about 50 dollars poorer.

How Does Lottery Method Work?

It’s absolutely impossible to get more information about the magical Lottery Method. Behind all of the grandiose claims, there’s no explanation of the methodology, the mathematical or the statistical method being used to increase the odds of winning.

In its introduction, the ebook states that Ace Lee has been communicating with lottery players for years and years as a part of his job. This way, he has gotten to know people who have been winning consistently. Apparently, these lottery pros have been kind enough to share their secrets with our ebook author and make them available to the entire world.

In addition, Lee interviewed agents and people working for the lottery. Supposedly, these individuals were also feeling quite altruistic at the time of the interview and they also spilled the beans in terms of winning lottery strategies.

A few things stand out when you go through the ebook intro. The first one is the poor language. There are dozens of grammar and language mistakes that could have been spotted easily by an experienced editor. If Mr. Lee didn’t bother to pay a professional to fine-tune the outcome of his efforts, how could his claims of incredible effectiveness be trusted?

In addition, the Amazon edition of the ebook has an abysmally low rating. There have been people who actually bought the book and who claim that it is filled with obvious tips you can find online for free.

Lottery Method Terms and Conditions

Lottery Method has pretty standard terms of use document attached to it. It states that since the lottery is a gamble, there’s no one who could actually guarantee a winning. As a result, Lee cannot be held accountable if you buy Lottery Method and you don’t win a single thing from it.

In facts, there’s an entire earnings disclaimer as a part of the promo website. You shouldn’t interpret the unbelievable promises as a guarantee of a lottery prize and if you do, the joke’s on you.

Keep in mind that the Lottery Method has an affiliate program. Lee offers a 55 percent commission on every affiliate who promotes the ebook and generates a sale. Thus, chances are that you’ll come across numerous positive reviews but all of them are created by people who have a financial interest in you buying Lottery Method.

Who Is Behind Lottery Method?

Ace Lee, the man of the hour, is pretty notorious online. All that you have to do is carry out a basic online search. You’ll be quite intrigued by the results.

As already mentioned, Lee is supposed to be a particularly communicative lottery retailer who has carried out many interviews over the years to discover the biggest prize winning secrets people have.

Over the years, Lee has released product after product. All of them are systems and all of them are supposed to make lottery winning easier.

There are online rumors that Lee has compiled all of his systems by opting for free of charge online resources.  Chances are that he hasn’t conducted a single interview with an industry insider because everything featured in books like Lottery Method is common knowledge.

While affiliates have churned out generic, positive reviews, it’s impossible to find information about anyone who has won the lottery using Lee’s system. Even after hours of research, there wasn’t a single person that bragged online about getting a prize.

Final Verdict

You can easily buy tickets worth 50 dollars and be more successful at winning the lottery than via the purchase of the Lottery Method. Please do not be fooled by grand promises and systems that appear to be too good to be true. Ace lee doesn’t have the secret, he is simply trying to earn an income by scamming gullible individuals.

Using readily available hot and cold numbers will increase your odds of winning a prize without costing you anything. This is an approach that’s been around for a long time and that you should try if you’re interested in more serious lottery techniques.

Due to the fact that it doesn’t feature any valuable information, the Lottery Method gets a 1 out of 10 stars rating!

Zeering Exposed — Playing Lotteries Using Zing Cryptocurrency

Zeering Review

Are you interested in playing US lotteries through an online provider? Zeering.com says they offer US, Canada, UK and Australian lotteries including kicking off the process with a free ticket. Though prices to buy tickets seem to be posted in US dollars, Zeering offers 4 kinds of cryptocurrency options. I’m not sure about you, but I still use real money. Let’s take a look.

Games at Zeering.com

Surfing through the options, it appears Zeering offers a chance to play 25 US lotteries including the two big ones, Mega Millions and Powerball. I’m not sure where they come up with Canada, UK and Aussie lotteries. Maybe this is planned for the future. Players can choose their own favorite numbers or use the quick pick option. Lottery ticket lines start at 1 to unlimited. Click on ‘add to cart’ and a weird pop up messages comes up “Do you want to create a pool?” There is nothing on their site that explains what this is.

Buying Tickets

Players have five options to buy tickets using one of the cryptocurrencies including bitcoins. Zeering offers their own cryptocurrency – Zing. They say they’ve launched this without an ICO. It appears it was beta launched in 2014 and went online for real May 2018. Zing tokens are “ERC20 Ethereum based smart contract” with no fixed value. The price “depends on daily sales on the platform”. Sorry, this is just too much gobbly gook for me.

Who Can Play at Zeering.com?

Players must be 18 years of age or older. There isn’t any other information in the terms and conditions but there is an info line at the top of their site that says people from Bangladesh, China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan can’t play here.

Winning

Click on the Winners menu and be ready to roll your eyes. There are six winners posted on the first page and they are straight out of GQ. I know it’s not gender sensitive but I would suggest that usually the name Tiffany is for a girl.

Zeering and Getting Your Winnings

The only reference to how you get your winnings is in their terms and conditions where they talk about Zing’s Player’s Club and Lucke-Rewards. If you win through this, Zeering says they will contact you by email. There is no other information on what you win, how to get your winnings and/or if there are any fees or commissions. There is also no information on how to cash out your “Zing” if that’s what you choose to play.

Who Is Zeering?

This is the most informative page on the entire site. Zeering.com has four offices in Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States. There are snail mail addresses for each and email addresses. Their office hours are posted and Zeering says they will respond to emails within 24 hours. They also offer a Telegram and Twitter connection, plus online form.

The Bottom Line at Zeering.com

Sorry folks, I’m still chuckling over the winners’ page. Boy those boys are cute. But, the reality is there is just too little information on this site. Things like what I would actually win and how I would get it. They say they guarantee your wins but nowhere does it say clearly what you will win and/or what currency you get paid in. If I won one of those mega jackpots of US Powerball, I certainly do not want it in some obscure cryptocurrency called Zing.

Pros:

25 US Lotteries to Play

Cons:

What Do I Win?

When Do I Get My Winnings?

What Is My Zing Worth?

Zeering.com gets a thumb’s down. There is just too much information missing and my bottom line is I want my winnings in a real currency.

Elderly Lottery Scams: How to Protect Your Loved Ones

$

As an older person, what do you most want from life? To be able to live out your last years in peace, tranquility, and safety – perhaps with the people you most love. Being comfortably off is very important, as is making sure your money is taken care of properly. In terms of the lottery, we’ve heard many stories of older people who have won big jackpots and been able to make the lives of others, as well as their own, much easier. But it now seems there are some horrible scam artists out there who are targeting more and more older people and trying to con them out of money they can ill afford to lose. Here’s the lowdown on the raft of elderly lottery scams that are doing the rounds at the moment.

Jamaica Is One of the Places These Elderly Lottery Scams Crop Up

Since 2013 Police in Jamaica have classed lottery scamming in the same bracket as a homicide when it comes to seriousness and officials there are saying they’ve seen a huge rise in the number of people who are being targeted by scammers trying to extort money from them, particularly elderly people.

In one illegal scam, Jamaicans pose as lotto officials to convince vulnerable foreigners and elderly people there that they’ve won a big payout. In order to claim their prize people making the cold call tell people all they have to pay is a small ‘processing fee’. Of course, people fall for this, pay the fee but never ever get any prize money.

Most of these scammers are young, aged 14 to 25. Many of them will work in professions such as telemarketers, remittance services cashiers, hotel employees, taxi drivers, police officers, bank tellers and airline staffers. Jobs that mean they have access to the personal details of thousands of vulnerable citizens.

Now it seems these scammers are trying further afield, targeting Americans, especially the elderly. In 2010 alone, Jamaican lotto scammers defrauded the US $30 million from scores of victims in one state – Minnesota.

In one particularly menacing aspect of the scam, fraudsters menace victims who are reluctant to pay the processing fee. The scammers use Google Earth, describe the victim’s home and locale and say they’re waiting outside to get them and cause actual harm.

This criminal enterprise thrives in the Montego Bay area, the heart of the Jamaican tourism industry. It is believed many fraudsters have got very rich, preying on the vulnerabilities of others.

Since 2006, lottery scamming has become their lucrative new revenue source. Estimates suggest that the fraud’s immense profits were behind around fifty percent of the almost three hundred and fifty murders that occurred in western Jamaica in 2017.

Elderly Lottery Scams in the UK

Over in the county of Leicestershire, in the UK, police are receiving reports that many elderly and vulnerable people are being targeted by fraudsters claiming to have won the lottery. Police say that victims are approached in the street and asked for money in exchange for a winning lottery ticket.

It’s believed that the fraudsters are approaching their victims, saying that they are illegal immigrants to the country, have won the lottery but can’t claim their money as they have no passport. Victims are asked for money in return for the ticket, and in some cases, as much as £50,000 cash has been handed over.

Police in Leicester are keen to warn the public about this and have distributed leaflets and other information, translated into different languages to help people understand the seriousness of the scam. It appears the majority of people who have been targeted are elderly Asian people who do not have English as a first language. It has also been suggested that the suspects, who could be men or women, have driven victims to banks to withdraw the cash. We hope whoever is responsible for these disgusting acts are caught and given a very long jail term.

Elderly Hispanic Women Targeted in Tampa

Over in the USA, in Hillsborough County, detectives there say a trio of criminals preyed on senior citizens, specifically, Hispanic women. Scammers managed to convince victims that they had winning lottery tickets but had to give cash up front to receive their lottery prize because they were allegedly in the country illegally. At least twelve people fell for it, some handing over more than $186,000 in cash and jewels.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said “Some victims lost $2,000. Some victims lost $40,000. They took advantage of mostly Hispanic females because they figured they would empathize with their situation the most.”

The Sheriff’s Office there have since arrested Jhon Figueroa and Siomara Jimenez. There is a warrant out for the arrest of Marino Jimenez Quintana. They will all be charged with scamming 10 people in Hillsborough County, also one person in Polk County, and one person in Lake County. They have stolen $152,034 in cash and $34,400 in jewelry offered by victims who didn’t have cash.

One victim, Maria Lebron was shopping at Fresco y Mas on Sheldon Road when she was approached by a woman claiming she had a winning lotto ticket. The woman said she was going to be deported, had won the lottery and needed help claiming the large prize. A second man joined the conversation and there was even someone on the other end of a telephone line ready to pretend to be an official with the Florida lottery, all in an effort to make the victim believe it was real.

Maria said she couldn’t help because her son was in the hospital and she needed to get back. However, the scammers persisted and she gave in, going with them to her bank to withdraw $5,000 that could be used as collateral to claim the winnings, under the impression she’d get several thousand in return.

Maria is now agoraphobic and no longer wants to leave home. She can’t forget what happened and won’t get her money back.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has the following advice for anyone else who has been targeted “Do not be frightened to come forward because of your immigration status. You will be protected because you are a victim. To our Hispanic community, I plead to you, don’t fall victim to this scam.”

How to Deal with Elderly Lottery Scams

Don’t let yourself fall prey to these evil humans. If you think you’ve been targeted or know someone who is vulnerable, read on to know how to spot a scam and stop yourself being caught.

  • Beware of anyone asking for upfront fees

Any lottery or sweepstakes requiring upfront fees equals scam There is only one exception to this rule, and these are “skill contests” (solving puzzles, submitting recipes, etc) in which you may be required to give over a very small fee.

  • You can’t win a contest you didn’t enter

If you didn’t enter a contest, you didn’t win it, and no-one should convince you otherwise! If you enter the lottery and win, keep the ticket as proof. If you didn’t enter a draw and someone contacts you claiming that you have, they’re scamming you.

  • No lottery will send part-payment checks

No legitimate contest issues partial-payment checks, asking the recipient to then send some of it back. Lottery scammers will often use lottery scams to try this.  If you forward any funds, you’ll lose them and will be liable for any more money taken from that deposit!

  • Regional rip-offs

Scammers sometimes set up phony state lottery websites, that really don’t exist. You should check out what legitimate draws are made in your area and if you’re suspicious – or contacted from someone claiming to be from a lottery you’ve never heard of, report it!

  • If you’ve been duped once, you’ll likely be duped again

If you send upfront fees for a contest, expect to be hounded for additional fees time and again. Scammers have a list of people who have been successfully duped and will continue to contact them.

  • Check the small print

If you’re ever unsure, check the small print of any sweepstakes. If any of the required information is missing, you can bet your money it’ll be a scam: start and end dates; judging date; methods of entry including judging criteria; type of proof of purchase required; description of prizes and approximate retail values; legal disclaimers; and sponsor’s name and address. As a disclaimer, even if some or all of these are included, still check online to make sure the content isn’t a scam.

  • If you’re ‘guaranteed’ a win. It’s a scam

A claim such as ‘guaranteed win’ is a scam. No contest is allowed to legally claim such a thing.

If you’re ever unsure or think that something appears too good to be true, it probably is. Always check out the sources of any lottery games or competitions and if you ever have any doubts, then go with your gut reaction. If you’ve been tricked or scammed, report whatever information you have to hand to the police who will be able to investigate fully. Be aware, be safe and never give any money to anyone in order to receive a fake lottery prize!

Local Lotto Exposed — Good Causes and Winning

Local Lotto Review

Don’t you love these cute little lotteries that support local causes? Take Daventry District Council and their online lottery game. This is a homegrown lottery that uses the Australian National Lottery Super 66 game results each Saturday (Aussie time) for their winning numbers. They use 50% of the ticket price to support a bunch of local causes. You’re not going to win a mega jackpot here, at the same time it’s a bit of fun for a nice prize.

The Game at Local-lotto.co.uk

Players choose 6 numbers from 1 to 9. The idea is to get them in the correct order. There are five levels of prize tiers. If you get all six numbers in the correct order the jackpot is £25,000 down to £5 for getting 2 numbers correct. Okay, Local Lotto should go into their terms and conditions and change the 2 number prize of 3 free tickets. Or maybe they change the £5. Tickets lines cost £1.

Getting Your Winnings

Winning numbers are published on local-lotto-co.uk’s web site. Keep in mind the time difference as the basis of the numbers is a game played in Australia. Winners are told they won by email and put on their website. There is no information on quickly winners get their cash.

Who Can Play?

This cute little game is only for residents of Great Britain and for players 16 years and older. Oh – and you can’t get tickets or get prizes for someone else.

Local Lotto Terms and Conditions

Okay, so their terms and conditions could be a bit more extensive in including more information on what happens when you win, how you get your money. Then again, this is a lottery to fundraise for local causes. There is also separate terms and conditions if you have a local cause that wants to jump on the bandwagon.

Who Is Local-lotto.co.uk?

The Daventry District Council has partnered with Gatherwell to offer this weekly lottery. They are registered with the UK Gambling Commission. There is a snail mail, email address, and telephone number. Their offices are open 9:00 am to 5:30 pm GMT Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays. They are also linked to Facebook and Twitter.

Why Do They Do It?

50% of all winnings go to local causes. 40% goes to the charity you want and 10% to “other good causes”. 30% goes to the prizes local-lotto.co.uk offers. 20% is for administration. For your 40%, you get to choose where you want it to go. The list is pretty extensive including the Daventry Browns to West Haddon & Guilsborough Cricket Club. There is also the option of simply choosing the central fund.

The Bottom Line at Local-lotto.co.uk

If you’re a resident of Great Britain and like to support local causes and like to play lotteries, this could be a good bit of fun – and you might win some money. You’re not going to win one of those mega jackpots but the price of the tickets makes it a nice little game.

Pros:

Lottery Supporting Good Causes

Inexpensive to Participate

Weekly Game

Cons:

No Mega Jackpots

How Do I Get My Winnings

This site gets a thumb’s up – if you live in Great Britain. It’s a nice combo of playing a lottery and giving to good causes.

LootPalace Exposed — Do Small Tasks, Win Gift Cards?

0

LootPalace Review

A name like LootPalace is probably making you think of pirates, hidden treasures, and gold. This is probably the association that the founders of this platform were looking for. LootPalace relies on a fairly simple principle to enable its members to win points and redeem prizes.

What Is LootPalace?

LootPalace is a website that gives members access to small tasks. Each time a task is completed, the member earns points. Some of the tasks include taking surveys, participating in polls, playing games, doing online searches, claiming free trial offers and referring friends. Bonuses are also available and tasks do not have to be completed in order to redeem those.

Every new member gets 1,000 points immediately after registering. When you register, you will be provided with a list of tasks you can do and the number of points you can earn for each. Surveys, for example, will give you anywhere between 240 and 1,850 points. If you watch a video, you will get from three to 45 points.

Once you’ve earned enough points, you can start spending them. LootPalace features Amazon gift cards, PayPal money, Facebook credits and other cool perks you can access.

While all of this may sound great, we did run into a problem. For a start, there weren’t that many tasks one could do. In addition, even after the completion of some of the available tasks, there was no increase in the number of earned points. Chances are that some of the opportunities produce points but earning them is not as simple as it may appear to be in the very beginning.

Who Can Participate?

There are no particular requirements for participating in the LootPalace program. Once you sign up, however, you may find out that certain limitations apply to the opportunities.

Some of them, for example, are solely available to individuals aged 16 or older. To participate in the available surveys, you may have to belong to a certain demographic group. If you’re not in the target, you will not be given access to the opportunity to redeem points.

A final thing that can be done for the purpose of earning points is a friend referral. Every time a friend of yours joins the network, you get 10 percent of their earnings as a commission.

What Are the Prizes Offered by LootPalace?

The prizes are many and they range from gift cards to actual cash.

Amazon gift cards are probably one of the most popular options available. PayPal cash is also available. You will need to have at least 5,950 points. These can be exchanged for five dollars worth of cash in PayPal.

The other available prizes include CVS gift cards, iTunes gift cards, Facebook Credits, Google Play gift cards, League of Legends prizes, Nintendo 3DS prizes and Steam Wallet gifts. There are multiple other gift card options that are probably not as popular as the ones already mentioned. These include Club Penguin memberships, eBay gift cards, GAP gift cards, Home Depot gift cards and many others.

Who Owns LootPalace?

This is the question that we worked on the most and that we couldn’t answer even after extensive research. A WhoIs lookup did not produce any results because all of the registration details are hidden. The official Facebook and Twitter pages of the company also do not provide any type of useful information.

Eventually, we came across the fact that LootPalace is operated by Grey Vort Pty Ltd. The company was set up in 1999 in Melbourne, Australia.

What Are the Terms and Conditions?

The terms of service are readily available on the LootPalace website. According to the document, you have to be aged 13 or older in order to join the LootPalace community. Having multiple accounts for the purpose of earning more points is forbidden.

Members do not have the right to complete the same task multiple times. LootPalace reserves the right to ban users and delete accounts without prior notice (more information about this right will be presented below).

How to Collect a Prize?

To use the LootPalace points in order to redeem a prize, go to the Spend Points tab on the main menu. There, you will see a short and a complete list of all the things that the points can be transferred into. All that you have to do is choose the option that you like the most and redeem.

LootPalace Feedback and Complaints

The fact that people get a commission for referring others to LootPalace means there are many fake reviews out there. If you come across overly enthusiastic reports of people who regularly earn gift cards through the platform, you should definitely suspect fake info.

On the other hand, there are dozens of complaints. One of the most common is from people who have gotten banned from the platform without further explanation of how their actions violated the terms and conditions.

Some people also report being banned upon attempting to redeem the prize that they were entitled to.

Complaints about slow customer service are also common. Some LootPalace members who attempted to contact the support team actually got a response one month later (or they did not get any response at all).

A final complaint is that the tasks take too long to complete and the eligibility criteria are questionable. If you dedicate the time to doing something a bit more productive, chances are that you’ll win much more money than by attempting to collect LootPalace points.

Is LootPalace Scam or Legit?

LootPalace seems to be legit but you should take that information with a grain of salt. While registration is free and you’re not going to lose any money for signing up, you may end up wasting a lot of time. Redeeming the gift cards and the cash isn’t such an easy task – something to be aware of before getting started.

Bottom Line at LootPalace.com

There’s nothing wrong with LootPalace and you should definitely give it a try. Points can be collected but you will need some time in order to get used to the program and to identify the opportunities really worth trying.

Pros:

An easy signup process without many restrictions

There are lots of opportunities to test out in order to collect points

There are many websites and shops participating in the program

The interface is simple and straightforward

New members get an award of 1,000 points upon their registration

Cons:

You need lots of points in order to eventually collect a gift card

Sometimes, it will be hard work participating in surveys and completing the tasks

Many of the members will not be eligible to participate in certain tasks

Customer service and technical support seem to be very slow

Getting the gift card after redeeming may also be a slow process

While LootPalace is legitimate, the effort required to eventually get a gift card is not going to be worth it for most people. This is not a scam and if you want to decide whether you’d like it, give it a try. In some instances, LootPalace can result in a nice pastime.
